next they need to catch up in terms of RT performance, were in extreme cases they still get beaten by mid range RTX30 series cards, like in CP2077 Path Tracing.

9070 XT already beats the 5070 in ray tracing. Only exceptions are games with very heavy RT implementations, like BMW or CP2077 with PT.

This is honestly great to hear. FSR's awful quality until now is pretty much the only reason I still only considered buying Nvidia cards. Given AMDs more reasonable pricing model I might actually grab one for my next upgrade.

A great overview of the new tech. I don't know if it's on the table but I would like to see how FSR 4 compares to the various DLSS models though - C, D, and F all have different strengths and weaknesses and I'm curious if FSR 4 beats them all and which is most similar.

This looks amazing Alex. FSR 3 - Disocclusion Fizzle has always been an issue. Had a quick question on this. Were the motion vectors captured accurate for Aloy, I noticed anything less than accurate causes FSR to have a lots of disocclusion fizzle.

Thanks for the great analysis Alex! I have always been very disappointed with fsr quality, and I had been ruling out getting an AMD card since I use dlss quality 1440p when available. Have you seen anything from AMD officially if they are using the same input resolutions for fsr4 as fsr3?
