I'm more surprised why they haven't done this yet, especially since most players stick to one MMO. The latest alliance raid is a great way to introduce FF14 players to FF11 for those unfamiliar with it, too

If not that, I’d gladly pay a little bit extra for a joint sub, because having to pay full price for both xiv and xi is way too much

I love XI, always will, but the base sub costs more than XIV’s and can’t afford it every month

If they made a cheaper joint sub however…

I saw a good explanation where removing the sub does more harm than good. Most people won't play 11 even they gave it to them for free, so this ensures 11 keeps ever sub to itself, and therefore can stay afloat a bit longer
