Logitec mouse has rubber coating on both sides for grip. But they're going sticky. No amount of iso seems to clean it or remove the sticky and now becoming annoying to use. Eww - ThreadSky

Sounds like it’s breaking down rather than going sticky, I had this with my last Logitech mouse my hands natural grease slowly overtime melted the plastic

Apparently petrol is good at removing the soft type of coating coating found on vehicle switches…not sure if it’s that kind of finish though…

Got a toaster that has gone same way. And it's a shame as it has big number and countdown I can see on it but company doesn't make it anymore.

Gone by to small print old style radio indicators..
