Anyone saying we shouldn’t tax wealth is a liar plain and simple. Taxing wealth is the only way to actually make things better. You cannot continue to tax the middle working and poor classes while allowing the majority of the money in the world to hyper concentrate and be removed from circulation.
Let’s take it back to the 1940’s rates of 90% over 400,000$ when our glorious democratic President FDR led us out of the Great Depression and the Second World War
Billionaires will do anything to get more money, thus why they are billionaires. If they are taxed, they will just get mad and continue doing what they would do when they aren’t taxed.
Companies are in a sweet spot right now hire enough to produce just enough to keep prices high and maximize profits. solve this make them pay a fare tax rate that cuts their big bonuses so they need to sell more by lowering prices to maintain their profit rate.
Billionaires don't create jobs in the first place. Jobs arise from necessity or desire and capitalists force themselves in between to exploit those performing labour to better their own or somebody else's life.
Most American billionaires are billionaires BECAUSE they used America to make them billionaires. It's ethical AND logical to tax them at least proportionally to working Americans, and close "rich people" loopholes like carried interest, step-up basis, SBLOCs and no tax on borrowed money, amg others.

Or they can choose to pay taxes. There are slightly more than 500 of them and 300 million of us.
