Encroachment of more in-game interviews in every sport is an interesting paradox. I assume networks are pushing for them and I'd bet the leagues don't mind either (the teams on the other hand...). But who wants more of this? Rarely makes for interesting TV except maybe in MLB during live at-bats. - ThreadSky

It’s a smaller platform and they’re not always great, but the Premier Lacrosse League does this pretty well imo. A lot of “what did you see?” Or “why’d you make that play?”

One of my favorite features of an NHL broadcast is the player interviews during intermission. Not because there’s any real value in what they say, I just find the whole concept oddly hilarious, and the intermission is a much better time than in-game. The hits are fine, just do it during a break
