Fear, misunderstanding, and discomfort have fueled the backlash. But what if, instead of arguing, we listened? What if we asked, "How can we move forward together?"
Thinking, creating, and loving is really all we have as human beings. It would be a terrible loss to willingly give that up. Tragic to lose it doggedly following lost souls like Trump and Musk. Life is singular and magic...what can we make of it?
What to do about books that convince people of things that are untrue & that propagate ideas & attitudes that are not only false but harmful too?
Books that don't convince with facts & logic, but with insinuations & emotional manipulation?
Banning them is obviously not the thing to do, but what is?
Reviewing them. Informing people. Educating them on proper fact checking, on critical thinking. It won't be a perfect solution- but none is. The solution to bad knowledge is always better knowledge.
This is how you keep the masses down. It is clear they do not have the education or the critical thinking skills. Proving of course that education is a great equalizer.
That could go either way. Like I think I should be angry for people believing vaccines cause autism to justify not getting a vaccine. A thing proven time and time again that it is false but people believe it and now we have diseases back in the world that we had basically eradicated.
Bertrand Russell, a logician, should not have made such a ridiculous generalization about being angry at a contrary opinion. I am really surprised he said that. As others have pointed out, that can go either way. I'm a PhD Mathematician & I have ideas formalizing injustices = hypocrisies.
Humans are afraid to meet our inner barbarian,so we project our barbarism into the space not seen;the books are projections of the thoughts they want silenced in their heads,so they strike out in bias, prejudice, fear, ignorance, ego, dominance, and control by censure. These are really sad fearful people.

Literacy is resistance!
Illiteracy on one hand (MAGA) & bottomless greed on the other (1%) elected this nightmare
Read to your kids-take them to libraries and museums - demand a return to strong literacy is our schools 'No Child Left Behind' be damned
Their fear and ignorance are a perpetual motion machine.
/it’s a cult
Also worth stopping.
That reasoning is what oppressors use to burn good books and promote their propaganda.
It's not just about books. It's about facts and history.

We must always be aware of such trolls, and not always ascribe negative actions to "mistakes" caused by innocent "lack of emotional contol".
There are many who just want to con-troll us.
