In this course, mainly targeted at Masters and PhD students (and others, don't censor yourself), we intend to teach the optical principles necessary to understand the origin of modern microscopy modalities and resolution, as well as the basics of quantitative image analysis.

Participants will get hands-on experience implementing simple optical configurations.
Subsequently, participants will perform experiments on state-of-the-art imaging equipment provided by microscope vendors
(thanks to the awesome support from in companies).

Lectures will cover, in depth, the principles behind traditional high resolution fluorescence imaging methods such as confocal, multi-photon, super-resolutions, etc

The goal is to make you a master of light microscopy, able to decide for your lab what to invest in, what to use for research
