Many years ago, at a security brief the briefer used the word “com-promise”, demonstrating he didn’t know what a compromise was, and didn’t know what he was saying was not a word.

I saw headlines about Trump's education secretary making this mistake, and I just assumed she was reading, because I have mistaken that word myself while reading. But she was not reading. Jesus Christ, she was not reading.
