1) I have a job, 2) There's nothing that says you can't have GBI while also working a job (you can have both!) 3) I don't think that someone's ability to live a dignified live should be determined by employment status.

I can’t afford to live in st barts or New York City so does that mean I should get supplemented so I can? It’s a slippery slope and I don’t want to supplementing those that can’t make sacrifices with my tax paying dollars. No hard feelings I’m just not a fan of this style of thinking. All the best!

Wasn’t implying you don’t have a job. What if folks take advantage of this and can live a good life but chose to buy expensive material things and other misc crap while getting supplemented by taxpayers? If where you are (not you) is too expensive maybe people should move to where they can afford.

1) You're assuming that people have can afford to move elsewhere. 2) We already have freeloaders who live a good life while most of us struggle to get by. They're called billionaires. 3) We could tax wealthy people/corporations to fund UBI so that its not everyday working people footing the bill.
