I’ve lived in outside Texas for 11 years now. I am usually able to misplace it, however when I’m having a migraine or am tired it comes back and sometimes refuses to be misplaced again. It’s a stubborn thing.
I had a teacher that said that. It was always ‘Warshington.’ Sometimes it was hard to understand or not laugh. We didn’t want to laugh. That teacher was so nice.

“Lights” turns into “laghts”. “Y’all”becomes even more stretched out.
I think I mainly tend to draw out the “i’s”.
My grandmother always said “warshing” & when I was young I had no idea what she was saying.
