All they had to do was kick it in behind where the fullbacks should’ve been & they were in every time.
They’d done their homework & we got caught playing out time & again. The first pass into midfield & ‘bang’ they were on us & turned it over.
We died a death after their 2nd, we looked knackered.

Absolutely. When you need to go away and keep it simple there are huge changes to the system, little time to prepare and the players don’t look comfortable.
We have not mastered the basics this season and it shows no sign of improving. European football again looks a tall order.

I don’t know which is worse: our incredibly porous defence, or the preposterously slow build-ups. Combine this with VAR and football is borderline unwatchable as a Villa fan at the minute.
