Lotsa luck. SCOTUS already gave 45 immunity & judgements are only as good as their enforcement anyway. SCOTUS can’t & Congress won’t enforce anything leveled against him in the near future; not sure there's any other agency to turn to. Really, though, good luck.

The courts can help us buy some time, but what really matters is creating new guardrails within the next 2 years that make it impossible for Trump to stay in power after these 4 years. We cannot allow any path for him to follow Putin's lead and "reset" or change term limits. He must be held to 4 yrs

We should call it the last "civilized" guardrail. Protections for democracy if the courts completely fail us probably involve some level of physical involvement as a truly last resort.

Honestly, so incredibly depressing knowing, as we have already witnessed, that this activist SCOTUS can & will hand-pick cases to hear - in order to achieve their agenda. An agenda that aligns with MAGA extremism. It is absolutely terrifying that we look to them as our last guardrail! God help us!

Well, I'm not a lawyer, but it seems to me that we need an army of lawyers "creating" cases to push up through the courts that have a chance of going to SCOTUS. If the lawyers are crafty enough, they can frame the cases in a way that binds SCOTUS into making decisions that reinforce current limits.

Marc, I hope you’re right. Recent SCOTUS and some circuit court decisions make me doubt the strength of those guardrails.
