At the moment I mostly have sets of many keyed-alike locks, and all the locks of the same style have the same key. But I'm looking to get some more small brass padlocks with a different key, so I might get some paint pens or some other identifier so it's easy to match the key to the lock.

I also have a keyring that I try to keep one of every type of key on, so I know it'll always be available just in case. Most locks come with multiple keys so I just put one of them on the keyring when I first get them.

A parts organiser works wonders … you can put one key and lock in each slot.. or all the keyed alike ones in one etc

I pop my phone out of its case, then tape the key to the inside of the case, then put my phone back into its case overtop of the key. I'm never without my phone, so I always have the key handy. But this way it's never in the way or needing to be moved.

I generally buy all my locks for bondage gear keyed alike so that they can all be unlocked with the same key. You can get packs from Regulation

For those that aren’t keyed alike, then the key and lock are labelled with the same letter so they can be easily matched
