Opinion before seen the video: i think it's impossible to ask movies to be timeless. Everything will become dated over time because we never have the proper language or understanding of things around us. Even well intentioned work could have unexpected wrong message to a future audience

It is problematic however it did massive things for the queer community for it's time. It's important to note it's outdated but still appreciate it while noting the terms aren't really appropriate anymore

Is it problematic? Yeah. Does that mean you can't still love it? Hell no.
I love the Fast and Furious franchise even though they're mindless trash riddled with fragile masculinity and a touch of racism, but I can still enjoy them.

It has its issues for sure. From certain terms used to it's portrayal of queer themes. But it still unquestionably paved the way for queer media of today, & needs to be recognized for such as long as people understand that some things in it are poorly aged.
