Honestly what she said wasn’t controversial about the original film. 🤷🏼‍♀️ We just live in very reactionary times, especially if it’s in reaction to a brown woman. She was gonna get hate regardless as near all the actresses for the Disney remade princesses.

From what I understand Latin folks aren’t seen as white in America, but in actual Latin countries there are more distinctions. Anya Taylor Joy is also Latina but I doubt there would’ve been any controversy casting her as Snow White.

Respectfully, I don't think america's false view of latines should be taken as fact. It erases actual latines of colour and the issue of white supremacy in latin america. Rachel is a white woman, bigots do not want her to be because then, they can't complain about her being latina.
