It is a losing play. This isn’t Bush cratering in 2008. Trump’s base is bigger and far more dedicated. They also happen to be crazy and violent.

GOP congress critters fear for their lives more than a primary. They aren’t going to cross Trump.

People don’t want to hear it but the only part of Schumer’s statement that is correct is that every agency/fired public servant will not be allowed back.
