I watched in terror as a dog in a truck bed in front of me broke its leash and jumped out. It bumped into my tire and ran, limping down the street. I felt awful, but I didn’t hit it - it hit me!
In Australia there are laws regarding this issue. Most states require specific restraints, directly behind the cabin and some states require some sort of shelter too. So I wouldn't go as far as to say folks are evil, but there seem to be a lot of cruel and thoughtless people around.
Evil? Come on you are better than that.
Hunters (we WANT their votes and support) have some of the most incredibly well-trained and disciplined working dogs.
Riding in john boats, used to shotgun blasts,
And they LOVE the flapping their jowls in the wind.
Trust me, they are fine.
And very muddy.
