I live in a heavy retail area in a purple/red area on the border of two blue states. Gas stations and drive through seemed quiet. Target and Walmart seemed average, but for the last day of a school vacation week. I observed the Walmart parking lot while sending and nobody was buying much of anything

This needs to be a weekly thing and no excess buying to make up for it. Spend modestly, drive that car that's a little old but still reliable until it's no longer reliable. Wear those jeans another 6 months. Scale back vacation plans.

We did the fill up yesterday at an independent station and yes, bought yesterday to pick up today but it’s a start to permanently! slow down buying from trumpy businesses. Our hard earned dollars are better spent at local small businesses.

We have literally cut back on everything except food. We are waiting for the other shoe to drop because if they touch Social Security tens of millions of people are gonna be instantly dashed into poverty.

Don't shop at most of these places all the time. Gas is tge only one you can't shop local. Stop buying at Amazon, whole foods, and corporate stores forever. I haven't been near these places in years
