Last I checked, which was about last month, airfare is not cheap. Just a one-way ticket from Wichita Kansas to Tucson Arizona is about $300. Round trip is almost $700. That ain't cheap. Train tickets are a little bit cheaper but not by much with a round ticket being about 350 bucks.

I won't fly domestic.

My company imposed a no-fly rule for business trips within driving distance. By my choice, I'm taking Amtrak to a conference in the Midwest, a 28-hour journey. Less than $500 r/t! I can work en route. There's free WiFi, power, and a dining car.
It will be an adventure.
