All the major news organizations refuse to allow anything against Trump to be said. The exception is MSNBC. Stop blaming democrats for media companies suppressing pro-Democratic rhetoric.
If my teacher tells me one thing but then starts spamming me with points which mitigate the harm of the original lesson, my attention won’t be on the one thing, it will be what I’m being spammed with.
All that hating on Democrats encourages is voter apathy. If people hear enthusiasm about a progressive candidate, they will be energized to vote. Hating on democrats and botherism only encourages abstention from the electoral process. You go from actual progressive change to “nothing will change.”
You want to make a difference? Figure out what progressives are running in your district. Encourage people to vote for them. Phone bank for progressive candidates. Promote AOC’s rallies. Don’t just give Republicans free PR by pointlessly hating on democrats.
My literal point was that too many people do this cynical shit. I am questioning the longterm efficacy of that cynicism, when something like, idk, canvassing or supporting a progressive candidate would be far more productive in having your voice heard than promoting apathy for the Democratic Party.
Your post was putting the heat on Democrats, shifting the focus of this scandal away from the sheer GOP incompetence onto discussion of some way in which Democrats are failing the people. I’m tired of this shift, bc it does nothing but benefit the GOP by taking attention off of their fuck-ups.
