It’s a common error; I run an Imaging department so I am around imaging equipment all day; every day. Most people don’t know an X-ray from an Ultrasound, and thats OK; it’s what we do.

The magnets are incredibly powerful and quite dangerous. The secret to working around them is non ferrous materials. There are a ton of safety protocols around entering the scan room.

They do CTs all of time. Ultrasounds on pregnant ones. Super cool. Acupuncture on an elephant with arthritis in his ankles was a huge success and so cool to see.
