Unfortunately he’s been telling us what he would do on day one…and he did. We knew he wouldn’t be following the Constitution, but even that is a little scary (a lot scary). 😑
I get that it's symbolic and all, but this speaks more to the incompetence of the staff who updated the website than a conspiracy to get rid of the Constitution. Let's not forget that the US Constitution was written by white supremacist slave holders. It's not incompatible with that worldview.
I don't believe you need a document written hundreds of years ago to justify an egalitarian worldview. White male supremacy is evil, whether or not the Constitution says it is.
This isn't a matter of links being temporarily down. The "Our Government" section has been completely removed. This is the section that used to contain a link to our U.S. Constitution. At this point, I'm not convinced that incompetence is to blame.
https://whitehouse.gov is a glorified personal website for the president and his administration. They probably pointed the domain at a new server with a new website. The old links and sections simply weren't preserved.
Again, not defending Trump, but this "conspiracy" is a distraction from the real issues.
I don't care if the easily-accessible text of the Constitution is hosted there or not. Let's talk about how this administration has green lit immigration raids at schools, churches, and hospitals.
Ignoring our U.S. Constitution is part of the problem though. Our Constitution defines & sets limits on Presidential powers, helping to prevent the rise of dictators. Attempts to end birthright citizenship & to bypass civil rights protections via Executive Orders are violations of our Constitution.
SCOTUS already abandoned precedent and clear language. They are freely reinterpretting the text to mean whatever the fascists want. We are beyond appealing to the Constitution. This has become a battle of values and what we want our country to be going forward. Many just haven't realized it yet.

That's certainly what it has become.
