If you tie it to starting a business that employs Americans instead of forking over cash, it's different, and I'm hearing we already have a program that does that. Real estate schemes are probably the worst example of golden visas because they just make property unaffordable.

Golden visas already tried in other countries lead to money laundering and oligarchs buying up properties therefore making it hard for local people. They never invest in their communities. Someone with 5 million isn’t going to the local grocery store or restaurants.
