Neil has already shown us that all is not as it seems, leading us to believe that Aziraphale sheltered Crowley from the rain with her wing in the Garden of Eden in the first place, only to discover in 2x01 that it was actually an act Crowley did first #GoodOmens

My theory is, based on what I mentioned above and the excerpt from the S2 Opening ,Azi kissed Crowley in 1941 after the magic show and their talk (perhaps after dancing "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square"??), believed she had offended Crowley and apologised to him #GoodOmens

Wasn't it revealed that those guys are actually the Horseman, notably War and Pollution (and I think Famine?), not Az and Crowley? I recall this analysis being brought up before and then it was debunked, and pretty sure it was this frame being referred to.
