It took me almost a full week to read 20 more pages…. really trying my hardest not to dnf this book but every point that could be explored deeper / in a more provoking way feels very surface-level, then adding the gore aspects, it ends up feeling very ‘14yo boy discovers Reddit’ icl…
Trying so hard to enjoy this book, it’s not bad per se but so far the *style* of writing is bland; I get what it’s trying to do, to remain personless and automatic as Marcos literally works in a human-slaughterhouse and in a world where cannibalism is normal… just bored of all the ‘he…, he…, he…’
