Tipping for valets, hotel cleaning staff, live musicians, and when the credit card reader is out of order at the air compressor/vacuum cleaner at the gas station. That’s about it.

The only cash I ever have is $20s, and not much at that. Which means
1) The tooth fairy is extremely generous, and
2) For the kids $1 dress down days at school, they've taken handfuls of nickels/dimes the past few times. Next stop is euros and pounds (which I have more of in my house than USD)

I live in the early 2010’s out here. We recently finally got every restaurant, bar and store to have a website (60% are Facebook pages) due to COVID. Most businesses now take credit cards but I have to use cash or a physical check at least twice a month. It’s unnerving after living in New York.
