A study by Microsoft has found that as humans rely more on AI, their critical thinking and cognitive abilities deteriorate, "leaving them atrophied and unprepared".

Microsoft owns almost half of OpenAI's equity and continues pouring billions into AI.

Look at the deterioration of our language. How many people can only spell because of auto-correct? How many can no longer write in complete sentences with proper grammar or syntax? It's been a prevailing issue for years and years.

Sorta related note how do you feel about Microsoft's involvement in this? I don't think AI is inherently bad but it's all kind of a huge red flag because Musk is trying to obtain it and the ramifications of the future concern me. It also makes me question how much I want to support Xbox

AI is prevalent everywhere. It's inevitable. The application of it and the human ramifications of said application is the ethical quandary facing all decision-makers. Do I think Nadella has the best of intentions--I do not know but I doubt Musk will ever be involved. He's bad for business.

Absolutely, I'm just afraid Satya is going to force a bunch of AI shit on Xbox. Sony seems less interested with Nintendo not being interested at all. I think a certain level of AI application will weave its way into everything but I worry about the extremities regarding Xbox.

At worst, AI on a console would look the same as AI on a desktop or browser--there to aid in basic tasks that the majority can do on their own & choose to do so. I'm thinking store searches & maybe game guide help or messaging--shit like that.
Positive side, AI under the hood could be a HUGE boon
