At NATO meetings I understood that our allies will do anything to appease Trump.
This dude berated Canada about carrying our "weight".
I pointed out that every Canadian has family lying in the fields of Europe.
We carried our weight to free the likes of him from fascism.

Sorry, but as a fellow Canadian that war ended 80 years ago. The people involved are almost all dead. We can't rest on those laurels forever. It's as obnoxious as the USA claiming they single handedly won ww2 and should forever be idolized for their contribution. It's a legit critique from an ally.

NATO is fucking cowards all the way down. If they had a single ball among all of them the Russian invasion of Ukraine would have been over in a week and the USA would have been kicked out before February.
