The Steam Deck is too bulky and gets too hot for kids 8 to 12. 1% 8 year olds in my family can't hold a PS5 controller and move both sticks.

As long as the surface is not as vulnerable as that of the first Switch, everything is fine. The first Switch had shiny spots after a short time, the OLED Switch still looks like new today.

Feels like the screen percentage is ever so slightly less on the Switch 2, but that's still pretty good, they probably have a reason to keep the console itself wider compared to screen size
