Don't care what your opinion is - only historical fact. There's a difference between making demands and being given concessions you can't pass up. Surrender was an inevitability and this was an open secret.

they demanded to keep the monarchy in their surrender feelers, they'd obviously view that as their demands holding weight if we suddenly pivoted our espoused unconditional surrender policy, and if they realize they can drag it on for even more demands why wouldn't they?
I'm so glad you're able to perfectly understand the inner workings of the minds of the fascist supreme war council at the time these events are unfolding. The supreme war council was divided over the issue of whether to surrender unconditionally or to surrender with only that single demand.
Negotiations don't change the situation on the ground, which was dire for the Japanese and past the point of no return. Even they understood this. The bomb was never about forcing surrender, only about ending the war before the Soviets could retake more Japanese territory such as Manchuria
