Well maybe we should consider the amount of energy and water that goes into playing video games. Also, Miyazaki called AI art “An insult to life itself,” and now folks are using it to rip him off. Your response?

Also this is a guy who hardly uses CG in his works in favor of hand drawn animation. That’s CG made by humans. It seems unlikely that he would be jazzed about fake hand drawn animation generated by computers.
Doesn't matter, that claim is disingenuous.
You're just making assumptions you want.
If you actually watched the full video to see what they were showing him, you cannot imply he was speaking generally about AI!
The twitching bodies are what disturbed him, he saw it as insulting his disabled friend.
Nobody needs to "sign off" for others to replicate an art style.
Styles/looks cannot and should not be protected, otherwise that kills all fan art & future inspiration.
Additionally, results like these could theoretically be achieved through training on look-alike art & fan art, with no way to tell.

It's doubly sad because even without the AI blatant rip-off of his work, he'd fucking hate you.
