The constitution has to be changed if they want to do away with birth right citizenship. Shitler has no right to change the constitution by EO. PERIOD. @agrobbonta.oag.ca.gov @massago.bsky.social @agellison.bsky.social @ilattygeneral.bsky.social @newyorkstateag.bsky.social
The problem is they're not arguing on the merits. They're arguing on whether a district court can issue a nationwide injunction against birthright citizenship cases. The sad thing is that there's a good chance the Supreme Court will rule to rollback nationwide injunctions. 🧑⚖️👨⚖️
I have personally scoured the Constitution for hidden footnotes banning birthright citizenship. Found none, but I did find a smudge that looks like a bald eagle crying. Coincidence? I think not. More at 11.
My thoughts from the start, 8 years ago! Why did the SCOTUS even take it up? Not everything deserves to be adjudicated. The president cannot commit crimes. The constitution guarantees birthright citizenship. The F’d the first one up. I expect they’ll F this one up too. Is it vanity or what?

It's about ending the power of district courts to stop unconstitutional actions of the President and his entourage.
And that is far worse for the rule of law than the birthright citizenship issue.
When the Fourteenth Amendment was ratified in 1868, the US population was a scant 38.5M people. And now we’re at 10X that.
The proper way to do this is to agree that “we’re full,” and go amend the Constitution.
