I'n constantly amazed at how few photons modern cameras need to get an ok shot. 1/6 of a second, f/2 at ISO 12800. Taken at 7:45 on a cloudy evening , when the sun had set 30 minutes earlier. I just happened to see the bird in the gloom. XT-5, DxO and Lightroom got me this. #Birds 🪶 #Photography

The pipeline of better sensors, better A/D, IBIS/lens stabilisation & then noise reduction in post make the impossible, possible. I switched systems a while ago & was just astounded at what's possible hand-held in very low light these days. Of course, having f/2 glass helps :-)
