I STRONGLY recommend playing in Private. Online, ironically, is at its best either with a group of friends, or completely alone. Because the randos are all assholes. And not even assholes like me, who'll make crude remarks and stand on your hood, I mean insane numbers of hackers.

That still somehow sounds better than the experience of Red Dead Online on PC. For some reason it was extremely easy to hack, and gave griefers access to console commands. Log in and get on the wrong server? You are now constantly spawning dynamite at your feet and dying.
