We need to stop using the term “phobia” to describe people’s attitudes and feelings towards us. They are not afraid of us, they simply hate us. Many are self hating. I read somewhere that after interviewing ppl in jail for beating homosexuals the writers concluded the beaters were themselves closeted homosexuals that w/couldnt admit it even to themselves.

Ok, but I still don’t believe they are afraid of us. That’s just the mask behind which they hide their true feelings. I have dealt with enough bigots, starting at home, to being able to identify the difference between fear and hate. They are not afraid & I wear the scars to prove it every day.

My college dorm had coed bathrooms while I was a student. Years later I returned and toured the dorm. The bathrooms were no longer coed so students had to walk up/downstairs AND down the hall to pee! My age wouldn’t do that!

More than phobia, the Mayo Clinic website defines that condition as an Intermittent explosive disorder. I can definitely relate to that. I have no patience for stupidity.
