Boo on Elections Ontario (elections-dot-on-dot-ca) for bad domain choice/URL management.

The link @joshuaterry.bsky.social shared is the legitimate website for voter registration which is a subdomain on a completely different domain (vreg-dot-registertovoteon-dot-ca). Terrible practice.

I had an immediate, visceral reaction when I saw the URL and thought it was a phishing scam. But it's correct! I just wanted to save people the grief. In any case: this is terrible practice for Elections Ontario and it creates the opportunity for people to fall victim to identity theft etc.

Get it! Even when I googled the link to share it, I had to question it was correct. To your point, it does look very scammy/phishing attempt.

Just if you haven’t voted before. Usually you’re automatically registered when you file your taxes. The link there will let you check your current registration as well!
