I dont know why they dont just adopt Mastodon's CW system. The tags are just a text field where you can write anything and itll display over the post content unless you decide to show it. you can do "nsfw" or "spoilers for this show" or "uspol, bad" its great for anything you might not want to see
we can use custom labelers (like @aimod.social), you have to be subscribed to it to see the labels and warnings though so it's a matter of spreading the word
Would be fun is there was a "miscellaneous" label that could be edited by the author. So you could write "spoilers for one piece episode 312" or "CW: Gore"
Then again, you could just type that in the post text. A generic spoiler warning would still be nice.
This is the closest thing we have so far on Bluesky. So yeah the best thing to do atm is this content warning + tag as to why, so ppl can mute those tags and not see them by accident
God please? I wanna be able to navigate this platform and tag my content accordingly so that people can choose and filter what they wanna see. As it stands I don't know of any ways besides adding Hashtags which clutter the space.
So you've misunderstood what I'm saying. I don't want my post to have a bunch of tags eating my char limit, I think the hashtag system is a bandaid on the problem, we should be able to tag new and existing posts, have it be community sourced tagging, tags should be separate from the character limit.
No I understand, I just don't see it happening anytime soon if it happens at all. Plus I feel there are a lot of people who don't want outsiders tagging their content.
The muted words list also checks alt-text, so at the very least, posts with images will naturally be filtered just by adding alt-text descriptions to them.

I am sick of seeing some hairy dudes asses on my TL but I can't turn that off without also turning off drawn booty!

You're supposed to use the hash mark to tag things
I already see that with regards to some art sites
