Couldn't have said it better myself 😂 as someone who prefers the mostly at-the-players-pace progression in OG doom and 2016 over the fast, unrelenting pressure pace in eternal, the "stand and fight" line got me a bit more hyped. I like getting the odd second to think/strategize during an encounter

It reminds me of BioShock 2 giving the player a double barrel because the Bigger Daddy you're playing as has to keep his left hand in Dual Wield Super Power stance at all times so a pump won't work but they also don't animate reloading any guns except lowering them... Ugh.
