Wow

I read in The Times that X/Twitter is shedding users at a rate of 14% a month — on account of too many trolls, I assume. Meanwhile BlueSky, the Times says, has been growing by 1 million a day.

I always had some doubts about validity of certain accounts on X, where 2 random people in different parts of the country had thousands of shared followers. I remember comedian Dave Gorman saying something about buying followers on one of his shows

Twitter has swapped from measuring daily active users to total minutes, when a company changes its metrics for success it's always a bad sign.

Nice to see Bluesky growing at such a rate but judging from some of the posts I'm seeing some of the folk that made Xtinct such a toxic place are already heading here
