They don't care. These rational thinkers in science are seen as a subset of Woke. They figure "let them leave the country" we're better off without them. Our loss will be the gain of other countries which welcome them. Before long people will be traveling to Canada and Mexico the best medical care.

Curiously, he does not seem to care about actions that might be good for his children. Maybe he thinks their health insurance will cover them. It won't.
