Yes and for good reason at the time. There were far too many questions on its feasibility. However in light of the current facts and that the Continent can't keep being held to ransom on the flip of which way the Americans will vote. I think the question of feasibility can be overcome.

Who will be running it?
What would the command? structure look like?
What language would we use to all be able to communicate?
What percentage of GDP will we all need to contribute?

What Treaty amendments would be needed? Defence is an independent affair for all European countries.

Questions like this and many more that at the time weren't really deeply considered or answered fully.

The EU should have been bolstering its military since 2016 but instead they did nothing and now we are almost a decade behind. 8 years of increased spending would have put us at a very advantageous position. It needs to ramp up in a speed never seen before. Canada needs to do the same.

Ukraine needs to be in NATO. Putin doesn’t, not because NATO's a threat to Russia in terms of invasion, but because being united stops him chopping away at Ukraine for as long as he wants. Putin wants division, & he’s happy to play a very long game. Time to stop appeasing and placating fascists.
