Absolute disgrace, blatant fraud. They sold substandard PPE to the NHS and then the NHS has to pay to dispose of it. The frauds then end up in the Lords. PPE fraud was just part of the covid gravy train. What a fucking insult!!

The thing is, it’s not just evidence from the companies that actually supplied the kit, duff or otherwise, they should also take evidence from established UK based PPE providers that were excluded/ignored from tender processes because of the unlawful VIP lane.

Yes, this is an absolutely critical point. Proven suppliers who offered to help said they could not even get a response out of the procurement teams because priority was being given to VIP lane providers, many of whom were unproven.
