Everyone know Brexit was betrayal. Everyone know it was corruption on a grand scale. Everyone know it is a very costly disaster. Everyone knows its unsustainable. Yet the UK goes on hemorrhaging billons and ignoring the huge black financial hole.
"Everyone know Brexit was betrayal." Really? So why are Reform+Tory on 47%? Because the media is anti-Labour and pro-Brexit is why and 47% believe the media's lies.
we need top rebuild our infrastructure and nationalise all our utilities before re-joining, but we could have customs alignment and closer single market access. Our future is part of EU not as Americas lap-dog. The special relationship is over
They should join the European Union, it would be like being in a big club that would give them better buying power and discounts and cheap chicken like joining Costco.
trump has created an excellent opportunity and perfect conditions for a Brexit Referendum #2 to reverse Brexit, which might otherwise have been considered 40 years from now.
But the majority of those who voted for Brexit have not changed their minds. And many of them are in constituencies that Labour need to stay in power. That's why it can't be undone.
A lot of manual trades unions urged members to vote Brexit (to create labour shortages to push up wages).
They need to take a long look in the mirror .. stop implying Brexit was 'botched' (ie. there was a 'good' Brexit somewhere) .. and start admiting ANY Brexit was always going to be a disaster.
If we go back to 2016 of course, Trump was Brexit 2.0. They're both part of the same world-view, amongst other nefarious things, a pro-Putin world-view. #StopFascism #RejoinEU.
As long as we have a revolving circus of transient elected political clowns who every four years get a blank cheque to pass any laws they want for their own benefit, then nothing will improve
Leave campaign was Kremlin's dress rehearsal for 2016 Trump Campaign. Same type of grifters pushing Leave and low-information voters supporting them as we saw here with MAGA in 2015-2016.
Not at all surprised later in the year when top Leave grifters visited Trump at his transition HQ after he won.
Agree, the current Labour Leadership are out of touch with the majority of voters on this subject. Keir Starmer show such leadership on the Ukraine challenge but the tariff / Custom Union is somewhat lacking.
A counter position, I'm afraid. I voted for Brexit, or leaving the EU, as it is more properly known 😁. My reasons were that the EU had too much control over UK law and that our government didn't have control. Similar to the individual States now 1/
But only 35% of the 66% support rejoining the Single Market with it's associated membership costs. The rest just want a closer more positive relationship 🤔
One thing I can say for certain, if you ignore the EU and hook your future trade hopes on Trump, you deserve absolutely everything that happens next - and they will not be good.
The Brexit deal was not 'botched' - the TCA was the best FTA little brexitannia could get, after les rosbifs declined to accept the ueber-generous front-stop of remaining as rule-takers in the SM. BTW, this option no longer is on offer - for economic and legal reasons.
Why should the UK or any other country get preferential terms. The EUs strength is that it works as an equal trading block. The UK sent Has Beens and circus clowns to represent us last time and the EU got tired of having to constantly trying to teach us to be adults
Let’s hope the trade unions can persuade Starmer to enact the NEW will of the people, who after experiencing Brexit realise what a monumental mistake it is. If they are unable to do so Starmer will be a 1 term PM.
Never should have left in the first place, people were stupid & ignorant; most leave voters didn't even know what EU stood for & how much good they do.
The 'Special Relationship' has always been one sided but it suited a certain demographic to promote it and others to just accept our status as supplicant. USA weaponry enabled us to pretend we were more important than we are. Hopefully this will knock some sense into the Eurosceptic flag-shaggers.
Brexit was never a good idea... Conservative party members in the UK, Canada, US, etc, trend along same chaotic economic ideology. Just look at it people, when do you learn that this party cannot help, they dont have any meaningful economic strategy except that they are good at wrecking economy
Better to join EU and have zero boarder fees between EU members.
Fees between USA while USA is an ally of Russia.
Until then Britain free to join EU at no charge.
I vote yes.
Let UK back into EU.
Fees waved.
Some of the trade unions backed Trump's tariffs as well. Unfortunately they imagine that tariffs will somehow restore the jobs the lost to offshoring - but in practice that will never happen.
You either protect them in the first place, or find something new, you can't roll back that clock.
Two emojis make sense to you I suppose, The statement makes sense to me
Example:
Nigel farage commissions a poll on gbnews, gbnews is all right wing viewers, " the certain demograph" explained without a quotes or emojis
"gbnews is all right wing viewers" Wrong rather a lot of people access GB News to ascertain what the fascists are up to. A sensible person would write 'most GB News viewers tend to be right wing' or similar.

The Tories and New Labour have systematically destroyed the UK, why would anyone want to join the mess?
I love Scotland, had family there. I welcome the UK back in the EU, but as a partner, for the rest, see a therapist.
(aren't we?)

No change, forever war, and wage slavery.

Democracy is lie for children to believe in
Oligarchy is perpetual political exploitation
Not at all surprised later in the year when top Leave grifters visited Trump at his transition HQ after he won.
Finally, De Gaul vetoed the UK joining because he hadn't cemented the Franco/German alliance and he was scared the UK would cosy up to Germany
At best a severe recession that will evolve into a depression.
Mad King Donald wants to destroy us b/c we humiliated him in 2020.
Greetings from civilization 🇪🇺
Do you understand the topic?
So 47% are anti EU. Copenhagen fail.
its like i used to want a closer relationship with my girlfriend, but i didnt want to move in with her
Thank you Donald, it was just about time!
#LongLiveDemocracy
(But it’s not worth £10 and doesn’t make for a social Saturday evening)
those two are really on the same page, no wonder demented Trump likes Putin so much, all both know is how to destroy and nothing about fixing shit.
Brexit was almost a bigger mistake than trump getting reelected.
Surely even those leave voters who haven't been able to see this will soon learn to open their eyes.

Spineless voters you mean.
FARAGE AND Co X tories
Guess who's voting independent for local councils
As for the polls i take no notice as most are aimed at a certain demograph
Example:
Nigel farage commissions a poll on gbnews, gbnews is all right wing viewers, " the certain demograph" explained without a quotes or emojis
