By all accounts Arsenal tried for some forwards in the summer (Sesko/Williams) - they weren’t attainable. I don’t think it’s a specific decision not to strengthen in attack.
Without injuries to key players/random red cards etc I’m not sure we’re having this conversation
Arsenal 22/23 were a 90+ that just needed some depth. Arteta changed the way of play instead of adding depth.
Of course Martinelli falling off a cliff doesn’t help, nor does Jesus/ode/Saka being injury prone. But that’s depth for me, not putting more CBs as FBs.
Saka played through injury. Odegaard do have niggles here and there.
As for Salah, yes of course. But that’s an issue, that’s why Nunez is failure. In Liverpool prime seasons, we dealt with losing Salah and Mane to Afcon while producing 90+ and CL final.
Did you deal with it? Because aside from 2018/19 (when Egypt went out in the R16 so you had Salah back early) you’ve struggled pretty badly in every AFCON season by my reckoning?
But that’s my very subjective opinion. Teams like this Arsenal or Chelsea 21/22 don’t win titles, because they tilt too much towards defensive control. One cold streak like the one Arsenal have right now, and you are done.
Nobody has done enough to beat City though 🤷♂️ the one time Liverpool did City fell off to ~80 points.
I’m not disagreeing that the attack is where upgrades are most likely now but the Arsenal attackers are pretty good as is - it’s not just a case of easily buying a better Martinelli for example

If Arsenal kept 22/23 style and just made signing to improve in LB, CF and probably R winger, you would have been the team.
Again I agree that another attacker would be an improvement but injuries and red cards have done *far* more damage than recruitment this season.
