Mostly bad PR. People think they eat kids at the bus stop and liberals want to force wolves into rural areas to terrorize conservatives/ fix the environment. Across the world, this is the wolf divide. Interestingly, there’s not a lot of evidence for wolf attacks, let alone at the bus stop.
Visited Alligator River Wildlife Refuge, NC, last weekend, but no sightings. There are less than 20 remaining there and some in Texas. The population is diminishing due to most often being shot or hit by cars.
I know that NC had released some, it seems like most were being killed by cars.
NC needs to reestablish the wolf population to help with our deer over population.

Wolves are a keystone species! Ever watch "Never Cry Wolf"? My Dad took me to see as a kid. It helped me understand the greed of humans vs the critical role Wolves have in environmental balance.
