so I watched the new IT movies and honestly coming back with fresh eyes really let me appreciate them.
I read the book (way too young) and really loved the miniseries so I was kinda primed to bounce off the duology; but this was the wrong mindset.

Like… Cameron Monaghan was horrifying. Following Tim Curry is a big ask but he knocked it outta the park.
God the drooling and the guffawing and the hungry stare ☠️
Only thing that threw me was James McAvoy. They needed someone taller and I am I’ve got a thing about Brits playing Muricans. idk I just don’t like how it only goes one way
let a Murican play a Brit for once
Dropping the tertiary plots made a lot of sense, too.
Books and movies are different and IT is a big weird book.
Plus the original miniseries already kinda did that.
I’m glad we got Bill Hader and Cam Monaghan and Finnaeus Wolfheart’s performances
Anyway I’m just typing this bc I’m trying to make bsky happen and I figured a little stream of consciousness would be fun.
Also I really want Stephen King to notice me so I can tell him how important On Writing was to me.
Anyway peace and remember: I scream, you scream, we all scream, when the terrible clown appears.
