Of the models who do artistic nude work, less than 20% are men. Of that 20%, 80% of the males specifically do sexually explicit work because it commands a larger audience and pays better. Of the posts in here, less than 5% of the posts by photographers are of males. Rarely are they not sexual.
First, weāve been culturally conditioned to think that men arenāt as ābeautifulā as women. Second, weāve been conditioned to think that artistic male nudes are just for the gay market, and men who enjoy them must therefore be gay. As a straight man, I strongly disagree with both of those premises.
