I wish that I could have met him before he passed.
I wish I could send him roses work he did. I sent him something last fall. I know he got my message.

I left the church more than 20 years ago over the issues of the church protecting sexual predators and making business decisions over moral or ethical ones.
Still spiritual just not in an organized ( human led) way.
He fought as hard as he could against the rot within the church.

He may have been the most Christlike Pope ever, if not the ONLY Christlike Pope, considering how many Popes made violent conversions at sword-point to spread Christianity.
Their saviour offered them a great number of directives, none of which they ever seemed inclined to actually follow.
