I'm so tired. I've given up getting a diagnosis. Exhaustion, low heart rate, low temperature, extremely cold sensitivity, leg swelling, dry eyes and mouth, and dry cracked skin on hands and feet. All of that to go with disc degeneration and spinal arthritis. πβ οΈ
I have an acquaintance who sees nothing wrong with US healthcare, if youβre sick you go to the ER and they have to see you. She had cancer and was able to make payments on her out of pocket costs. She canβt see beyond the fact that sheβs lucky to have a job with good health insurance.
ah. I misread and thought you yourself thought the American Healthcare system had no flaws. it was confusing given your bio. thank you for the response and I hope that more people in the states can have experiences like your acquaintance :)
The problem with US healthcare is that it is a for-profit enterprise, so the issue isn't the quality of care, rather it's with access to it. If your acquaintance "sees nothing wrong" with the system, then she lacks empathy and imagination. If she loses her job, she may have a different opinion.
Except, most doctors do their jobs well. If insurance companies didnβt rip them off so much, they could take more time with us. But they do their best.
Right?
