I learnt about Hitler from the World at War tv series (they didn't think we needed to know at school, or not until history was optional in the higher grades).
Pol Pot in Cambodia was in my lifetime, Mugabe, Idi Amin...list goes on, flamboyant narcissists with endless power lust.
